9-22-2021: This is an experiment to determine the correct number of stitches to use to make a newborn hat from this Yarn.
Hat #1: 12, 24, 36 stitches–Lower edge width: 5.5 inches; Length: 6 inches; rounds: 13-Started and completed : 9-21-2021
Hat #2: 10, 20, 30, 40 stitches–Base circle diameter: 4 inches; Lower edge width: 6 inches; Length: 6.0 inches; rounds: 13DCs and 1 SC Started: 9-22-2021 Finished 9-23-2021. This will be the pattern followed for this colorway of this yarn.
Hat #3: Using a Size J hook. 10,20,30, 40 stitches–Base Circle diameter: 30 stitches: 3.25 inches ; 40 stitches: 4.25 inches. Lower edge width: 6.25 inches ; Length: 6 inches. Rounds 13 DC only. Started: 9-30-2021. Finished: 10-1-2021.
The use of the size J hook made a wonderful difference. It feels a lot softer and looks more relaxed.

Hat#4: Using a Size J hook. 10,20,30, 40 stitches–I did not measure the base circle. Lower edge width: 6.0 inches ; Length: 6.0 inches. Rounds 13 DC only. The use of the size J hook made a wonderful difference. It feels a lot softer and looks more relaxed. There is no start or stop date on this hat because life got in the way of tracking it.
This is the last that will be made using this skein of this yarn. There is 0.8 ounces left of it which is not enough to make another hat. This remaining amount is being saved, along with its wrapper, and will be used later.
